The Homeland Protection Systems Group works with US government agencies to develop, assess, and rapidly transition advanced technologies in support of the Nation's strategic interests. The group has deployed novel technology solutions to address security challenges in the national airspace, in population centers, and at critical infrastructure sites. We specialize in detailed systems studies and advanced technology development, especially as related to protecting our nation's air space. Our mission expertise is applied toward developing innovative approaches to complex systems, algorithm and hardware prototyping, and general problem-solving. Our team of scientists, engineers, and technologists develop and employ cutting-edge techniques in data analysis, predictive analytics, and systems engineering to produce solutions for complex problems. Our group is seeking highly motivated entry level scientists and engineers who are interested in solving challenging technical problems that make a difference in the real world. Typical activities for our analysts include modeling, data analysis, and algorithm development while working as part of an interdisciplinary team. In this role, the candidate will help to develop/implement techniques for analysis of varied data sets, implement leading edge data processing and algorithms from academia, and work within our team to develop concepts that address national security challenges in the homeland. The candidate will work with an experienced team to learn about the homeland protection mission and to develop a career path matching their technical interests.
