Associate Estate Planning & Elder Law Attorney (Full-Time, On-Site – NY)
We are a growing estate planning and elder law practice seeking an Associate Attorney to join our team. This role is an excellent opportunity for an attorney with a strong foundation in estate planning who wants to deepen their expertise, gain hands-on client experience, and grow alongside a supportive team.
What You’ll Do
As an associate, you will work directly with clients and provide essential legal services, including:
Conducting client meetings and assisting with initial consultations.
Drafting estate planning documents including wills, trusts (revocable, Medicaid planning, and special needs), powers of attorney, and advance healthcare directives.
Reviewing documents with clients and ensuring plans reflect their goals and objectives.
Supporting Medicaid and special needs planning strategies under the guidance of senior attorneys.
Collaborating with support staff to ensure files are accurate and up to date.
Contributing to client service initiatives and maintaining strong client relationships.
Assisting senior attorneys with complex planning and case strategy.
Who We’re Looking For
We are seeking an attorney who is motivated, detail-oriented, and passionate about helping families secure their future. The ideal candidate:
Has a minimum of 3 years’ legal experience , ideally in estate planning or elder law.
Holds a Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school and is licensed to practice law in New York.
Demonstrates strong drafting, analytical, and communication skills.
Is comfortable meeting directly with clients and explaining complex legal concepts in plain language.
Works well as part of a team and maintains professionalism with clients and colleagues.
Is proactive, organized, and committed to excellent client service.
